The primary-ever aerodynamic flight on Mars was carried out on April 19, 2021 by NASA’s Ingenuity helicopter, a prototype designed to find out if a helicopter may very well be efficient in such a skinny environment. The little rotorcraft far exceeded mission managers’ expectations, finishing a complete of 72 flights over the course of almost three years.
